Keystone Junior Rodeo Association

A place where future rodeo champions get started

The Keystone Junior Rodeo Association is a non-profit association that was started in 2001. We are located in Central Pennsylvania. KJRA was started in hopes to give the youth experience with sportsmanship and competition in the sport of rodeo. Our membership continues to expand with members ranging in age up to 18 years old. We have 4 age groups and each one is divided into boy's and girl's section for a total of eight groups. The age groups include 6 and under, 7-10, 11-14, 15-18 years old.

KJRA has a yearly membership fee.   Membership dues are $75 per family.  Each contestant is responsible for paying an entry fee of $12-14 per event.  The entry fee for any event involving livestock is $14 with the exception of Steer Riding and Bull Riding which is $65 per event.

The association hopes to help promote a learning experience in rodeo, good sportsmanship, meeting kids that have the same interest, and a lot of FUN!

Every year we have a banquet to honor our members. Last year on our awards night we gave out eight saddles which were awarded to the all around champions in each division. Our awards over the years have included belt buckles, jackets, horse blankets, gear bags, hay bags, bell boots, garment bags, rope organizers, pictures, headstalls, breast collars, and many other horse-related items. Our awards would not be possible without our sponsors. We thank our sponsors for their generous contributions.
