Queen and Princess Contest Information

Thank You for your interest in our 2022 KJRA Queen / Princess Contest. It is an honor to serve and represent your organization.

There will be one Queen selected from the Senior Division (Age 15 to 18) and one Princess selected from the Jr. Division (Age 7 to 14) to Serve and Represent our Association for the 2022 Rodeo Season. Winners will be announced at our Annual Awards Banquet. Winners will immediately begin working to fulfill their duties.

Responsibilities:

The Queen and Princess will carry the flags during Grand Entry at all Rodeos. The Queen and Princess will also be asked to help with other duties of KJRA such as: attend and represent KJRA in other scheduled events, Special Needs Rodeo, Parades etc. It is the Queen and Princess responsibility to sell 50/50 and raffle tickets at each Rodeo and assist with other fund raising opportunities.

It is very important to keep a positive attitude at all times and work to embrace others in the sport of rodeo. The Queen and Princess are looked up to by other contestants and therefore you are expected to be a positive role model and set a good example.

In the event that you are not able to fulfill your reign as Queen, the next person obtaining the 2nd highest contestant score will serve in your place. In the event that you are not able to be present at one of our Rodeos, it is your responsibility to inform the Coordinator to make other arrangements.

Princess: It is the Princess’s responsibility to assist the Queen in ALL of the said duties listed above.  Parents play and important role in these positions. In the event that your child competes in several events, you may be asked to take their place to perform their duties such as selling 50/50 raffle tickets.

Sincerely,

Stefanie Hollenbach
KJRA Queen / Princess / Pivot Coordinator
